Why Influencers Are One of The Best Ways to Market Your Products

In this day and age, social media has become the main platform on how we interact with our friends, family, and brands. That’s right I said it, brands. Social media has turned into a subtle way to shop and discover things we like through the influencers we engage with. It might not be like shopping in a store, but it offers so much more. Today, influencers are taking the lead in how we interact with products. Here is why I believe they are worth investing in:

  1. Trust

The relationship that these influencers create with their following goes much deeper. They tend to create a trust with their followers which allows them to listen to what they have to say and be more willing to purchase what they promote. A big reason for this is because influencers have expertise in the type of products they are promoting to their feed. This encourages their following to be confident in purchasing from your brand.

  1. Voice

When celebrities do endorsements, “The brand or marketing agency comes up with an idea or storyline for promoting the products” (Shane Barker, 2022). Thus, it is less personal. When influencers are tasked with creating promotional content or a campaign, they have a voice. Brands will usually give a guideline of what they need to include discussing, but the influencer is in control of the voice and tone of the message to make it resonate with their following. This is vital for how they will interact with your brand because influencers bring a different type of encounter with the product that doesn’t look like it’s been staged as an original celebrity advertisement. 

  1. Cost Effective

 “According to a report by the Economist, celebrities with more than 7 million followers may charge as much as $150,000 for a sponsored social media post.” (Shane Barker, 2022).  It can be a huge expense to have big name celebrities show their face with your brand. Luckily, influencers do not have to be as expensive. Although some influencers can be, they are still more affordable than a celebrity. Brands do not just have to work with the bigger influencers but can support the micro to mid-level influencers. “According to We are Social Media,  97% of micro influencers only charge $500.” (Shane Barker, 2022). This creates an affordable and effective way to promote your brand without breaking the bank.

In conclusion, there are many perks to working with influencers to help grow your business. Influencers can be trusted with your brand because of their reliability in their expertise, their voice creates a more personal touch to connect with followers, and they are more approachable to work with without spending too much money on promoting your brand.
